Upfitter Guide
The following information is available to adaptive equipment installers and
vehicle conversion companies.
Regulations and Standards - It is important
to know mandated regulations and standards for the adaptive mobility industry. Any
modification made to vehicle fuel system components may alter or affect the
evaporative emission control system, On-Board Vapor Recovery system, and/or
the On-Board Diagnostics system (OBD II). Modifications that alter the
basis for certification or exemption of these systems may constitute tampering,
which is prohibited by Federal, California and Provincial Law. Violation
of these laws may result in civil or criminal liability.
